Everything we needed. We had a hard time finding a good two-line phone, but this is it. Easy to use, memory dialing, and call waiting caller ID.
I hooked up my Plantronics headset that had been working with another phone, but it did not work. I bought this phone thinking it had all the features I needed for my home office. I'll admit, if I didn't need headset support and didn't have to deal with RCA customer support, I would be happy as a clam. I'll be returning this product straight-away.
If he is representative of RCA customer support, I recommend no one buying from that company. I certainly will not. After a painful call of confusion, complaints (about me and the company from him), and excuses, he informs me there is no list of supported headsets that will work and that I shouldn't count on that feature. Normally customer support lines have a routine of greetings and questions, but this dullard did not.
When I set up the phone, it worked great. The documentation did not help, so I called customer support. I should have paid attention to the negative reviews. I tried everything I knew to no avail.
All the features seemed to work. But I bought the set BECAUSE of its alleged headset support. Setup was easy.
Excellent quality, plenty of features, great sound quality. This telephone is excellent for a small business office.
Fortunately the plantronics headset i use has a mute button. I wanted the ringer to be quiet for the second line, but there is no way to do that, or to change the ringer of either line. This is not a bad phone, but not great either. 'side-volume' (the amount of your own voice that gets fed back to your earpiece) is a bit high when using headset.no way to choose ringer volume of two lines separately. I had to use the one-line cable and lose the ability to use the second line as the ringer was annoying. It is being used in a 10 person office, and i have been using it for over 2 monthspros:good build quality16 one touch speed dial buttonspretty good sound2 speed dial buttons dedicated to voicemail numberscons:if you plug a headset into the headset jack and use the 'mute' button, it doesn't actually mute the headset. This is a pretty big flaw, and in my case, embarrassing to discover during a conference call.
I only have one line so I don't know about the second line options. There's also a voicemail button that lights up when there's a message waiting. The buttons are a good size. It has everything. It has volume controls for the ringer, handset, and speakerphone. This is my second review for this phone.
Easy to setup, despite some of the earlier reviews, directions clear, precise and simple. Once the voicemail button is setup it's a snap to retrieve a waiting message. I bought this phone for my mother for Christmas and liked it so much I bought one for myself. The base is tilted to make it easy to read and use. Great phone, highly recommended. The LCD is large and readable.
The handset is comfortable to use.
